About Nitin Kohli

A leader rooted in service, trust, and accountability

Nitin Kohli serves as the Aam Aadmi Party's In‑charge for the Jalandhar Central assembly constituency, a responsibility he took up in May 2025 in the presence of senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia. Since then, he has worked to make public service tangible for residents — most visibly through the Rama Mandi Public Service Centre, a walk‑in office built to put grievance redressal within reach of every household.

Alongside his political responsibilities, Kohli has long served Indian hockey as Vice President of Hockey India and President of Hockey Punjab, nurturing the sport at the grassroots across the state.

His Vision

Kaam Ki Rajneeti — Politics of Work, Not Words

As Jalandhar Central's representative for the Aam Aadmi Party, Nitin Kohli's approach to public life is simple: listen first, act visibly, and measure success by problems actually solved rather than promises made. That means treating everyday civic basics as the real test of governance, and keeping a direct line open between residents and their representative — no middlemen, no waiting rooms.

Civic Infrastructure First

Roads, water supply, sewerage, and street lighting — the basics residents raise most often — treated as first-order priorities, not afterthoughts.

Accountable, Accessible Governance

A walk-in Public Service Centre and the Jan Samvad dialogue form put grievance redressal within reach of every resident, without layers of bureaucracy.

Investing in Youth & Sport

Continuing a long-standing commitment to grassroots hockey — coaching camps, player recognition, and pathways for young athletes across Punjab.

Public Service

Serving Jalandhar Central

When Nitin Kohli joined the Aam Aadmi Party in May 2025, party leader Manish Sisodia welcomed the move as a sign of industry's confidence in AAP's governance. Kohli was entrusted with the Jalandhar Central assembly constituency, a responsibility he has approached with the same hands‑on style that built Tracer.

That commitment took physical shape with the opening of a dedicated Public Service Centre at Rama Mandi — a walk‑in office where residents can register grievances, get help navigating government departments, and follow up on the delivery of public schemes, without having to travel far from their neighbourhood.

Tell Us What Jalandhar Central Needs

"Jan Samvad" means public dialogue — and that's exactly what this form is for. It's a direct channel for residents of Jalandhar Central to flag the issues affecting their own street or ward, from road conditions and sewerage to water supply, cleanliness, street lighting, traffic, parking, parks and security.

It takes about two minutes to fill in, and doubles as a way to volunteer time for the constituency's ongoing work and opt in for WhatsApp updates — so the feedback runs both ways.
